Indigenous Arts
Traditional Healing for Spirit, Belly, Womb and Earth
Tul’ix Indigenous Arts is an evolution of what was formerly known as the Arvigo® Institute. Learn more about this new chapter by clicking here.
We offer bodywork and spiritual healing trainings rooted in the traditions of the late Don Elijio Panti of Belize. We honor and recognize this living lineage as a seed-bearer, supporting each of us to connect to our Benevolent Ancestors and remember how to plant again.
Our values are rooted in compassionate decolonization. This model gives everyone, including the living and non-ordinary worlds, equal seats at a table while treating wounds according to need. It is our sincere belief that such a model is needed for our species to course-correct and remember how to care for all.
Tul’ix therapies include bodywork inspired by traditional sobada and supported with additional techniques, particularly for the back body, which address multiple structural, functional and psychoemotional presentations. Spiritual healing, utitilzing prayer, plants, the elements and the dreaming, is fundamental to this offering of bodywork.
Tul’ix therapies, and the healing traditions they are rooted in, can be supportive to include but are not limited to:
